Some of the factors that need to be taken into consideration when choosing a neighborhood. These include:

- Property values

- Quality of schools

- Traffic

- Crime rate

- Possible construction

- Proximity to employment, schools, hospitals, shops, freeways, public transportation, airports, beaches, and parks. 

Some strategies on finding the right neighborhood on a budget include:

• Looking for neighborhoods that are likely to become popular in the upcoming years, often around currently popular neighborhoods. It also helps to know what will be built in the near future in the area (e.g. stores, parks, recreational facilities, or transit). 
• Purchasing a bit farther out of the city in a good neighborhood is a good idea if commuting isn't a concern. If it it, choose a home close to public transportation.
